Blade
The blade features a VG MAX steel core wrapped in 32 layers of Damascus steel. This combination gives the knife its exceptional anatomy with a strong and flexible structure. VG MAX steel contains added chromium and vanadium which enhance edge retention and improve resistance to corrosion. Its higher carbon content makes it harder than many other steels. All Shun Classic blades are sharpened on both sides.
Handle
The handle is made from Pakkawood. This is a specially processed wood composite that offers high durability, resistance to moisture and vibration, and long term stability. The high quality resin added to the wood ensures strength and provides a comfortable and secure grip during use.
Care Instructions
Cleaning
- Rinse knives in warm water before first use
- After each use wash promptly with mild detergent and dry with a soft cloth
- Acidic foods should be rinsed off immediately
- Always wipe the knife away from your body and away from the cutting edge
- Never place knives in the dishwasher
- Always wash by hand to protect the material and maintain long lasting sharpness
Sharpening & Care
- Do not leave wooden handles soaking in water for long periods
- Oil the handle occasionally with neutral vegetable oil or camellia oil
- Sharpen periodically to restore edge wear and maintain sharpness
Storing
- Ensure the blade does not come into contact with other metal objects during storage to prevent damage and staining
- Ideal storage options include a knife block, wooden drawer insert, wooden magnetic rack, or a protective blade guard

Returns
COOZINA accepts product replacements and returns under the following conditions:
i) Send us your replacement request within 30 days from delivery date.
ii) The products must be intact in their original packing and remain unused.
iii) The products must be accompanied by the corresponding sales document (e.g. sales receipt). iv) You assume the responsibility and transport charges for the return of the products to our address.
